Robert Piguet Calypso fragrance samples / fragrance decants.
Robert Piguet Calypso serves as a rediscovered counterpart to the elusive original Robert Piguet fragrance. This rendition breathes new life into the classic oriental floral perfume of the 1950s, emerging as one among a handful of scents introduced after Robert Piguet’s passing in 1953. Perfumer Francis Fabron crafted the original formulation, later modernized by A. Guichard. Diverging from the prevailing trend of white floral notes in Robert Piguet’s repertoire, Calypso takes on an anti-white flower persona, preserving a verdant thread of stem-like essence from galbanum to the leather at its base. Nestled within this aromatic spectrum are powdery orris and a central heart of rose.
Notably, Calypso stands out as one of the rare fragrances where geranium truly shines, imparting a distinct and memorable character to the composition.
Notes: Geranium, Mandarin, Rose, Bulgarian Rose, Orris Root, Suede, Patchouli, Amber, and Daim.
